The following two examples should provide a clear idea of the information I provide and the level of detail and format in which it is produced. Sample 1N.B. All prices shown are per party and when quoted were inclusive of taxes/charges Malaga-Sao Paulo Option 1 Malaga-Heathrow-Sao Paolo (British Airways)
According to BA.com there are no economy seats available from Malaga to Heathrow (or indeed Gatwick) and the fare therefore includes seats in Club Europe for this sector. The fare quoted by BA was therefore Euro10772.84. Expedia.co.uk however showed availability when quoting. Option 2 Malaga-Paris-Sao Paulo (Air France, TAM)
The Air France flight between AGP and CDG is operated by Air Europa. Option 3 Malaga-Frankfurt-Sao Paolo (Spanair, TAM)
The Spanair flight between AGP and FRA is operated by Lufthansa. Option 4 Malaga-Madrid-Sao Paolo (Iberia) Valparaiso-Santiago Your ship arrives in port at 0400 and you would transfer to Santiago by road (the port being located roughly 80 miles from Santiago airport). As I understand it there are a number of vineyards offering tours along the way - the cruise line will be able to provide details. Santiago-Malaga Option 1 Santiago-Paris-Malaga (Air France, business class)
The Air France flight between CDG and AGP is operated by Air Europa. Option 2 Santiago-Sao Paolo-Madrid-Malaga (TAM and Iberia, business class)
Option 3 Santiago-Madrid-Malaga (Iberia, business class)
The Iberia flight between SCL and MAD is operated by LAN. The Iberia service is showing no availability in business class. Option 4 Santiago-Madrid-Malaga (Air Comet and Air Europa, business class)
Although a low-cost carrier, Air Comet offer an older style business class which will give you the space to relax and is considerably cheaper than some of the other options. This routing will also get you back to Spain earlier than the others. There are cheaper options in Business Class (GBP4318.90) available via Buenos Aires with Aerolineas Argentinas but I would strongly advise against using this airline; a very poor reputation in all classes, subject to delays and the airline itself is in a precarious financial position and has received a great deal of adverse media coverage. No airlines offer Premium Economy seats on the whole route and I was unable to find a website which would quote an itinerary for part in this class and/or economy. As a comparison the cheapest seats I have found are in economy using the Air France flights in option 1 with a total fare of GBP3614.80 (with www.expedia.co.uk). I have also found a considerably cheaper fare in economy (GBP2112.60 with www.opodo.co.uk) using Air Comet/Air Europa flights in Option 4. I would certainly be wary about travelling this distance in economy with this low-cost carrier. Business class is another matter. Key Sample 2N.B. All prices shown are per passenger based on 2 passengers travelling in economy and when quoted were inclusive of taxes/charges. Prices shown are per passenger. Malaga-Larnaca 2nd week of June 2008 Option 1 Malaga - Madrid - Frankfurt - Larnaca - Munich - Malaga
Spanair flights MAD-FRA/FRA-LCA and MUC-AGP are operated by Lufthansa Option 2 Malaga - Madrid - Athens - Larnaca - Athens - Madrid - Malaga
Option 3 Malaga - Madrid - Budapest - Larnaca - Budapest - Malaga
